Obituary:
Died on 16th April 1919. According to the Teesdale Mercury, Alec was 'playing billiards at the Cyclists’ Club on Tuesday night, and early the following morning died at home, the cause being certified as embolism. Dr. Leishman was called in.'

Notes:
Alec Initially enlisted with the Northumberland Fusiliers but was later transferred to the Tank Corps. He served with them until he was demobilised in February 1919.
He was a blacksmith by trade, and had only been working three weeks when he died.
