CHANDLER, Thomas T
1/4th battalion King's Own Royal Lancashire Regiment
Son of William and Jane Chandler of 28 King Street. He was the brother of R. Chandler and is known to have has other siblings.
Killed in Action
Thomas' initial military attachment was with the 2/4th Lincolns serving in Ireland. He was then transferred to the King's Own Lancashire Regiment. Prior to enlisting Thomas had worked in an iron foundry.
He spent time at a military hospital in Manchester in November 1916 after contracting dysentery in France.
George was reported missing on 20th November 1917 on the Cambrai Front and is presumed killed on that date.
