Obituary:

 The Parish Magazine of September 1916 said that ‘Harry, son of Edmund Brown is reported missing. The uncertainty of this makes it a heavy burden for his relations & friends; we hope & pray that a happy solution may be forthcoming, & that he may be reported as alive, even as a prisoner.’

Notes:

In 1911 he worked as a general labourer. He joined the 18th Durham Light Infantry on 3rd February, 1915. Harry served in France & was reported missing on 14th July, 1916 aged 21.  He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial.
