'LOCAL AND OTHER NOTES

The Hon. Ralph Vane, Lord Barnard’s youngest son, has been gazetted captain in a Garrison Battalion of the Northumberland fusiliers, at a Mediterranean station.  His Lordship’s second son, the Hon. Christopher W. Vane, is on military duty in France, being in the 18th Cavalry division.  The Hon. Harry Vane, the eldest son, is at Harrogate.'
